Promoter of The Crunch poetry night.
With more than 17 years of media experience, Becky specialises in turning tired, dusty prose into copy that sings.
Cutting her teeth at top publishing agencies in London and Bristol, she handled high-profile multimedia projects for the Department of Health, npower and NatWest, and has written for clients including Specsavers, Camelot, Allied Dunbar and many others. As a journalist, she worked as a sub-editor, columnist and features writer for the South Wales Evening Post. She has won several industry awards and her feature on human trafficking in Cambodia was shortlisted for a national award by One World Media.
As a freelancer, she has provided writing and editorial services for clients including Wessex Trains, Alliance & Leicester, British Travel International (UK) Ltd, WH Smith and DFID. More recently, together with former Evening Post colleague Jenny White, she has provided press releases and previews for art galleries including Cardiff's Albany Gallery, Attic Gallery, Swansea, and Milford Haven's Pure Art. These have appeared in The Western Mail, Big Issue Cymru and Pembrokeshire Country Living magazine, among others.
In her spare time, she is also a keen writer and performance poet, who is responsible for booking features for The Crunch poetry night (second and third Thursdays) at Mozarts wine bar in Swansea.
